ParkviewArran Letting Agreement – Terms & Conditions

 

Please read carefully.

 

If you make a booking for Parkview you are agreeing to these Terms & Conditions.

Weekly bookings are usually taken from Friday to Friday but there may be flexibility during off peak season for different changeover dates or short breaks (3 day minimum stay).​​​

  • A completed booking form plus payment of the requested deposit is due to secure each booking - a receipt is emailed to confirm everything.

  • The accommodation is furnished and equipped for holiday use for maximum number of 6 persons occupying the property.

  • Ony those persons stated on the booking form are allowed to occupy the property (up to the previously stated maximum occupancy of 6). If you wish to invite additional visitors during your visit please ask us first. 

  • No extra overnight visitors are allowed to stay at the property (the property being defined as house, driveway or garden).

  • You must not use the property except for the purpose of a holiday.

  • A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total price is required to confirm your booking.

  • The balance is only due 8 weeks before the first day of your holiday begins. No reminders will be sent.

  • For bookings made within 8 weeks of your stay the full cost of your holiday should be paid at the time of booking.

  • The owner reserves the right to refuse a booking without givin any reason.

  • In the event that you have to cancel your holiday, you should advise us by telephone and confirm the cancellation in writing, which should be from the same person who completed the booking form. We shall do all we can to re-let, and if this is possible the balance will be returned less the non-refundable deposit and any costs incurred. If the cancellation is made after the final payment is due, you are liable for the full cost of your holiday. If we are unable to re-let the house, the full rent will be forfeited. We strongly advise that you take out comprehensive travel insurance to cover your holiday including cancellation. If you choose note to, then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to disruption or cancellation.

  • If you are planning to travel to Arran by ferry from Ardrossan to Brodick, we recommend you book the ferry crossings at www.calmac.co.uk (see earlier clause about recommended holiday insurance)

  • Unless otherwise arranged, arrival time is 5pm with a prompt departure time by 10am, please.

  • The house is a no-smoking and no-vaping area. 

  • The price includes electricity and wi-fi.

  • Linen & towels - a bath and hand towel per person, plus bed linen and kitchen linen are also included in the price. Linen is only provided for use in the property - we do not supply beach towels so please bring these with you.

  • Please do not move furniture from one room to another or any of the indoor furniture, furnishings, towels or linen outside.

  • Tenants should take good care of the property and leave it in good order, as found. Please let us know about any damage or breakages, as soon as possible. We do understand about life’s little accidents, but ultimately the named person who made the initial booking is responsible for the property and its contents during the period of your stay. We will always try to put things right with the least cost and inconvenience to you. If you, or your group, cause damage or loss of any kind to the property, the name person will be responsible for the damage (eg spoiled linen, mattresses, carpets, or other damage to fixtures or fittings) or any loss and shall be liable to pay the owners on demand the amount required to make good or remedy such damage or loss.

  • Please lock the doors and close windows when you leave the property unoccupied. 

  • Please make sure you switch off lights, heating and any electrical appliances when not required and/ or when you go out.

  • Although we take every reasonable care to ensure that nothing untoward occurs during your stay we cannot be held liable for any injury, loss, accident, delay, inconvenience or irregularity arising, howsoever caused.

  • Every effort will be made to honour all bookings. We do however reserve the right to cancel should the property sustain damage or otherwise become unsuitable or we are unable to accommodate your holiday. In such an event, we will refund any payment(s) received in full. This will be the full extent of our liability for cancellation. No additional compensation or costs will be payable. Additional costs you may incur will be a matter for your holiday insurance arrangements.

  • The owners (or their representatives) reserve the right to enter the propery at any time to undertake any maintenance, repairs and to run or check on the property.

  • A well-behaved dog is welcome by prior arrangement - this must be requested at time of booking/ enquiry (see additional terms below) . Other pets are not permitted.

  • For those bringing a dog – as part of the letting agreement – we expect you to be responsible and very considerate in…

    • Keeping your dog under control at all times.

    • Making sure they stay off all the furniture.

    • Taking them with you whenever you go out - dogs must not be left alone in the property (house, garden or driveway).

    • Exercising them outside of the garden.

    • Cleaning up behind them both inside and out, so absolutely no trace remains.

    • Guests are responsile for any damage howsoever caused by their dog and liable to reimburse the owner for any replacement or repair thereby necessitated.

    • Important note, this property does not accept any dogs on the current Dangerous Dog Breed List.

  • We do not have an electric car charging point at the property and do not offer electric car charging from our domestic supply - guests must use the public charging facilities on the island. 

  • Parking for up to two vehicles is provided in the front of the property for guests occupying the property. Please ensure you do not cause damage to property or verges or block access to other properties when parking.

  • Fireworks, chinese lanterns, firepits, candles or other naked flames and portable BBQs are strictly prohibited.

  • Please respect the local community and ensure noise levels are kept to an acceptable level.

  • Bookings cannot be accepted from persons under eighteen years of age.

  • PLEASE NOTE: The house is cleaned between lets, but time is limited so… part of this agreement is your commitment to leave the house as clean and tidy as you found it. Thank you.

  • These terms and conditions are subject to change without prior notice.
